- "This piece is a culmination of a few summers of going out and observing the bison during their annual rut. I watched many battles and let me tell you, it’s quite a rush! There is so much energy and excitement that comes along with it and I wanted to transfer that emotion that I felt out there into this piece, so that you too could feel what I was feeling. Besides the piece being a culmination of field trips, I really feel it is also a culmination of all that I have learned in the past two years in regards to paint quality. I feel I’ve used the right brushwork to enhance the feeling of the moment."
